Resumen: The Second Caribbean Seminar is a part of the process begun by the First Caribbean Seminar, held in Barbados in December 1973 under the sponsorship of the OAS and the Government of Barbados. The seminar adopted in conclusion a series of recommendartions, the major ones of which are presented belows: to engeneder S & T planning institutions in the Caribbean countries that lack them. To initiate or continue the yearly compilation of S & T statistics, including expenditures on research and development and support activities. To provide the necessary apparatus for experts form different sectors in each country to meet together and coordinate subregional S & T policy.
