También rastrea el desarrollo de la tecnología antisubmarina y las quejas de las tripulaciones estacionadas en Inglaterra y el norte de África, que afirmaban estar cumpliendo con el deber de la Armada. De hecho, la responsabilidad pasó a manos de la Armada en 1943 cuando la aviación alemana entró en el territorio para disputarlo.
